    Hi Robin,

currently my Symbiostock Shop is developing well. Now my provider gives me a managed server with 2 cores for some days and i used it for optimise the setup. I have talked to him and would like to share some technical feedback.

    – for the moment i have 6000+ Products with 60GB of Images, Vectors and Video
    – with uploading and publishing i had some peaks in server ‘load’
    – the last days i had 2 server shutdown with publishing to much products in bulk (via wordpress-bulk-edit/publish) and
–> once seams it comes from maintanance process or another plugin – i have to evaluate it.

The host talked to me, that it is posssible that Imagik could be better perform with PHP 7.1 or 7.2 (PHP will use another Imagik Version?!) My Problem: i can activate PHP7.1 at the server but if i switch with .htaccess to 7.1 Symbiostock will not acceppt the current version.

    – Do you think a better Symbiostock support for PHP7.1/7.2 is planned and helpful for performance issues?
    – Can i give a product an publish time via tag or metadata ? (the reason is: with the WordPress-publish process, my products get an SKU and a social media delivering – so i decided to use this 2-Step-Process)
    – btw. with the latest woocommerce roadmap, it seams there is an other product table performance issed planned // do you think it has an impact on symbiostock?

    Thanks for the support!

    Hey Hebstreit,
With regards to 7.1, Symbiostock supports this version fully. Are you saying that it does not work if you switch the PHP version via htaccess? If so I can’t quite say why that would happen. Symbiostock detects the PHP version via Apache and PHP.
As for the scheduling, you can use a feature built into Symbiostock under settings > media – there you can choose how many images to publish per weekday and how many per weekend and Symbiostock will limit it accordingly.

Thanks four your respond. So i will wait to the next Version before i switch to PHP7.1. .. But ii have two problems with the automated publishing:

First: in case that an EPS will be published (maybe i try with process-limit 10 per day) it seems that the alternate JPG will not be processed by symbiostock. (after first renaming in the ftp folder to _ssalt_1234.jpg .. they dissapear with the second run and the media does not become the final image and metadata)

The second problem is: Whenever I later update any media with the WordPress edit or bulk-edit, the watermarked images will change the image-url:

for example the image-path switches from http: // domain / wp-content / uploads / image.jpg to http: // domain / wp-content / uploads / image-1324.jpg .. so it seems the product number will be added.
–> this is a problem for all SEO and social media publishing, in case i have an automated publishing for the first version.

Do you think it is possible to put the image number to the image -URL from the beginning?

btw. it seems that i had a little mistake in my EPS&JPG – Keywords, .. so finally: yes, it seems, the Keywords will be updated by the alternate Image correctly also with auto-Publish. So the first Problem is solved.

    ..it’s only the second topic:

I try’d to upload an EPS without Name & Keywords and i get a Preview-Image:
    http: // domain / wp-content / uploads / unnamed-file.jpg
    — this also will be the same after updating the keywords from alternate-JPG

if i update via WordPress some settings, maybe a category, the URL for Preview-Image changes to
    http: // domain / wp-content / uploads / my-product-title-12345.jpg

    can you understand that?

    Hey Hebstreit,

Sorry about the delay – the team is currently travelling for conferences so I will try to respond as soon as possible.
