Got this in an email from easycron: “We’re sorry to inform you that we met 2 consecutive failures when trying to access the following URL”

When I click the url, it ran the cron job and I got one image processed (out of 159 images).

So i re-enable easy cron and waited. Got the same “2 consecutive failures” email.

    Please advise.

It’s been a few hours now and no new images have been processed so I’m guessing the wordpress plugin didn’t work. I just tried to make a a cron job on easycron.com but the free plan only does 10 min intervals, so I’m using that. Still no images processed.

    Please advise.

So, I’ve come across this: ”

Unfortunately we don’t currently support cron or any other type of task scheduling. We have had members ask for this, and we will try to implement the support in a future hosting version.

As a possible alternative for in the meantime, you could use a crontab service from a different company to ‘trigger’ your script hosted on Bravenet at predefined intervals.”

    Please advise.

I’m doing this manually. I’m reading/researching how to set auto processing in my hosts server.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I recall upgrading to WordPress 4.6 just prior to trying to process images.

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for the prompt response. I had uploaded 160 files into the “new” folder around 3 days ago, roughly 24 hours after that I went to check if any images had processed. Nothing, so I ran the cron job and got 1 image processed. Ran it again and got another 1 image processed for a total of 2. After that, nothing will process. So I’m thinking I’ve got the correct directory/folder.

I may have run the process a few times without waiting 1 min over the past few days. But I just ran it after not having run it since posting yesterday, still nothing.

I haven’t changed any settings except the recent updates to jetpack and other plugins (I think yoast SEO) can’t remember exactly which ones.

Using the Web upload method, I got “your uploaded file has been added into the queue to be processed”. But nothing got processed.

    Please advise.

I’m having the same issue now too, my php is 5.6.24. Here’s the cron job boxes:

    Memory at Start: 40M
    Load at Start: 1M
    1 product integrity checks completed
    0 new/updated images/videos parsed
    0 thumbnails re/generated
    Memory at End: 40M
    Memory Peak: 67M
    Load at End: -0.01M

    Please advise.

It works, but kinda oddly. Just running the cron job, returns no new images parsed but if I log into my server to check the “new” folder to see if the images are there (I used the uploader from within the Symbiostock wordpress plugin) the images are there and I run the cron job (with filezilla still open and pointed at the “new” folder) the job finishes with all the files in the folder parsed.

Thanks for getting this resolved so quickly.

As for weird version of Imagick, I vaguely remember my provider saying that they couldn’t get a stable version of Imagick to run on the server and so they will disable it…maybe that’s it?

    Hi Robin,

Just received word from my host regarding the testing of Imagick,

“<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Verdana; font-size: small; line-height: 1.5;”>We are beginning some trial runs of ImageMagick, so I went ahead and installed it on the same server you are hosted on. </span>We use a whitelist to determine what executables php can run on the system, and I added /usr/bin/composite, /usr/bin/convert, and /usr/bin/mogrify to the list. I was wondering what plugin you were considering to use with ImageMagick support, and if it was able to utilize what we have setup.”

I’ve responded with the link to this forum and was hoping you had more info I can relay to them? My “Imagick” button in the settings page is still showing disabled.

    Please advise. Thanks.

UPDATE: Got in touch with my host, no word yet on Imagick but they helped change the memory limit. I’m using 256 and no memory errors.

    Hi Robin,

Thanks for the speedy reply. I just found it curious and frustrating that the 2 files that are having problems are not the largest I’ve uploaded successfully (the largest being 15 mb so far). Somehow I got one of the files (10.3 mb) to uploaded properly by uploading it with a batch of 19 other images but the 9.04 mb still won’t upload properly, whether uploaded solo or within a batch of images.

In regards to Imagick, my host says “<span style=”color: #000000; font-family: Verdana; font-size: small; line-height: 1.5;”>Sorry, we currently do not support the imagick extension”</span>

In regards to increasing memory as outlined  at http://www.symbiostock.org/docs/increasing-the-memory-limit/  I can’t find the php.ini file. but I’ve made the changes to the wpconfig and the htaccess.

    Please advise.
