Congrats! Beautiful shot.
April 1, 2014 at 1:17 pm #10711Thanks…I was thinking of tossing a few images up there for sale, but decided to just link to my Sym site through a slideshow and switch to a very basic WP theme. But having already set up my Sym site definitely helped me navigate through the options.
March 30, 2014 at 11:10 pm #10707I’m really getting annoyed now at having the Symbiostock logo and author stuff on my home page and will probably switch to another theme. Getting rid of widgets makes no difference, assigning another page as the home page makes no difference, switching from Sym child to Sym makes no difference.
March 30, 2014 at 3:05 pm #10690Thanks…it is back up. It was down for a while, though.
March 30, 2014 at 2:42 pm #10705I’ve managed to get rid of the sidebar on all my pages by going to:
pages > (page name) > page attributes > template > full width (last option)
I’m still trying to get the other Symbiostock stuff off my home page; haven’t remembered how to do that yet, though I managed to do it with Vector999. 😳
March 30, 2014 at 11:51 am #10703Widgets! That was it. Thanks, Jo Ann! I knew there was a way without editing code. Follow Jo Ann’s instructions…just slide the widgets over if you want to get rid of them.
March 29, 2014 at 11:13 pm #10700Thanks for all that info! But I don’t even know what a page-home0.php is or how to find it. 😀
There’s gotta be something you can just click somewhere? I know I’ve never edited any code before, but I got rid of all that stuff on my current site somehow. I’ve gone through appearance, menus, symbiostock, everything I can think of.
March 29, 2014 at 10:02 pm #10698One last question…how do I get rid of this stuff on my pages? Jeez, I had this all figured out before. 😳
March 29, 2014 at 8:11 pm #10715Thank you! I knew there was a step I forgot.
March 29, 2014 at 6:08 pm #10697Got it…thanks. It’s been a while. 🙂
March 29, 2014 at 3:32 pm #10688My site’s still down…very annoying.
March 29, 2014 at 12:37 pm #10687I did receive an email from BlueHost that they were changing their C Panel and would be inaccessible for a few hours. Perhaps this is all related to that upgrade?
March 22, 2014 at 4:58 pm #10373I guess it all depends on the approach you want to take. In my case people can buy one of my 5-credit vectors at iStock for as little as $8, though most of my images there are 12 credits. So I went with an in-between price for my vectors and lowered that price a bit for each jpg size. Since I’m not putting exclusive images on my site, I wanted to offer customers a price savings over iStock while also earning me more money for the sale. One of my repeat customers is excited about it because she says she “can’t afford” iStock’s prices. So she saves money while I make more. She’s bought three files from me so far, which she probably never would have bought at iStock. And I’ve made 3-4 times more money than I would have made if she bought the images through iS.
But others here are doing well with higher prices than mine.
March 20, 2014 at 5:48 pm #2178I couldn’t find the poll. 😯
I don’t think it was related to the promotion…return customer who bought two vectors.
March 20, 2014 at 4:38 pm #2176Two sales today. 🙂
