I know it might be a pain to re-process them later but since initially I’m only looking at 2-300 images and I suspect I’ll make some final decisions before I hit 1,000 files it shouldn’t be too awful…and if it is…the old files can have the old watermark for a time. 😉
Taking care of your health is always the best option. From what I can see you’ve built an awesome thing and like WP it will grow…in it’s own time. WP adds new, cool stuff but they didn’t have every feature people wanted in version 1… I hardly remember version 1. Some core features, but nothing like it is today.
Thanks Christine and don’t worry about the wrong domain, it got sorted before I was even drinking my first cup of coffee. 😉
And Jo Ann, I plan on dusting off my programming hat at some point but my PHP was never great for much more than tweaking WordPress and such. I will figure out some way to effectively contribute to the Open Sourceness of the project. I’ve been unemployed for over a year, so my goal is to get this up and running…and perhaps see some direct sales. I have a few irons in the fire that I’m juggling.
My real expertise is in beta testing though. I can break *anything*…and sometimes I can even figure out how to fix it in the code. 😉
Hi all, I’m Diana Jo. I’ve been dabbling in microstock photography since 2007 and been involved in photography since I was very young…first darkroom experience @ 11. I am also an illustrator.
The initial stock that will be going onto my direct sales site will include a lot of isolated people (construction, business, beauty theme), Alaskan nature and wildlife, vector backgrounds, vector characters. The initial port to be uploaded will be about 300 files.
Then, I’ll be processing and uploading my Mexican travel images which are “not needed” on many MS sites. I’ve been ‘firing’ agencies for low performance and hopefully will see some returns selling directly.
I’m very excited about the Symbiostock network. I’ve wanted to sell directly for quite a while now but wasn’t sure how I was going to manage it without putting my programming hat back on…and I’m afraid that is a LOT rusty. 😉
