You do add some code to the child theme, just have to find it first. I found the code by using Chrome and Firebug but have found it is more difficult to change it in 2.8.* than it was previously. Now I find where the code is in the bootstrap.css, copy it from there into my child theme.
Previously I copied it from Chrome Inspect Element or Firebug into the child theme after getting it how it how I wanted. I do/change things by trial and error, not because I know what I a doing.

I usually try and copy the theme onto my computer so I open it there and do a “save as” to make sure I don’t change anything that I might want to use., DO NOT play with the live copies in cPanel, if you make a mistake you get white screens and worse.

I did multiple browser refreshes, played with the categories, as I have to get the tyres sorted on my car today and won’t be around so decided that I was best leaving it with a stable version just in case I got any customers as if they could not get to an image page they could not download on 2.8.1 – and with having to replace four perishing (literally) tyres I need some funds.

Page all but unviewable as the categories are now in columns down the page and take up the whole of the screen
Thumbnail links do not take you to single image page
Footer links do not work

Testing site has the columns of categories but clicking on thumbnails does take you to a single image page

Try the TranslateThis Button plugin. It changes the site to the language specified. I have not used it for a while but it used to work

You will need to do the remaining areas in css editor I think – I have coloured both of those sections over the last few days when trying to do something else so know it can be done .

If I might comment – the red text does overpower the images a tad for me. My eyes are drawn to the text rather than the images.

The same problem Martha had, happened to me a day or so later. I tried adding the data to both php.ini and .htaccess separately and together but it did not work. This problem when upgrading was different, instead of losing all (except Home) I only lost some. As it is all the dropdowns are not showing – All, Animals, Food|Drink and Nature should all have dropdowns/sub categories.

It would probably be advantageous, I used to do it with dollars – then there is only one conversion fee instead of (hopefully) many. I only accept sterling now so the buyer pays the fees

Probably the only safe thing I can offer at the moment is the colour of the arrows in the new 2.8.0 category section
