— AmazeinDesign (@amazeindesign) December 19, 2015December 20, 2015 at 6:37 pm #24937We have to examine if we will lose customers if we only offer one time use for the full size, or if that doesn’t really matter. I don’t actually fully understand why RF is offered at all since, in most cases, when a customer purchases an image they are probably trying to use it for one use anyway
But removing RF license for customer’s options is I think not a good idea since in-house and other small or big design agencies are more looking for flexible usage of images. Maybe we can attract more bloggers but we should not forget those individuals whose using images often for their daily design projects.
I agree – good for me. The one time license is a great idea, but very hard for any agency to track in reality. It is possibly not even clear that the person licensing the image realizes the restriction, although I agree some of them would.
I’ve just had a long email discussion with a buyer of one of my images from Dreamstime that he later realized had been marked as editorial. He had little idea what that really meant, so getting people to understand licensing and what they can and can’t do can be a challenge.I know most contributors are aware of usage and licenses of an image but in reality, customers, not all but most of them are not aware of that as long as they have a copy of our image they use it if they need it.
December 20, 2015 at 4:36 pm #24935I tried to do that also. No luck. I don’t know how to embed tweets here
December 20, 2015 at 5:32 am #24929December 19, 2015 at 7:37 am #24926I think we need to have a standard pricing that attracts customers and to keeps them coming back to symzio. Like what I said earlier one-time-use license is good idea for small image sizes and we can have fixed price, we can attract customers from that. And we put full size images in royalty-free license and let the contributors set the price they want. So we can have symzio and contributors set the price
December 18, 2015 at 10:35 pm #24904You have a good point and you make it clear. You make me realized that the subscription plans of those microstock agencies have a big part of their contributor’s problem. I hope more contributors will join us. I don’t have a problem with our new pricing changes anyway.
December 18, 2015 at 9:02 pm #24902Offering low cost one time use license for small and other sizes of images is a good idea for me but I think we should not apply it in full size image and vectors. It was based on my experience as a graphic designer that we use small size images for blogs and web based promotions but full size images or vector files are always used for big projects.
My other reason is to prevent those bad guys to easily access our full size files. Lately I removed my vectors and closed my portfolio account in 3 of mid-tier microstock agencies because those bad guys downloaded my vectors (for low cost) from them and distributed it on their free download websites and it’s hard to crack them down even shutterstock have difficulties to deal with them.
That’s only my opinion.

December 3, 2015 at 7:35 am #24743Thanks for your effort. I tried it on some of my files and it works perfect. I will include more vectors in symzio tomorrow and I’ll inform you if I encounter some issues.
December 2, 2015 at 6:09 pm #24739That’s better than of what we have before, but it still have a big difference in saturation compare to the original color (left side of the photo).
I also tried to make some adjustments in some of my files. By saving files in larger than 500px width in dimension, it gives a good result when rastered in less than 3200px by our plugins without pixelated and rough edges problem.
But we still have problem with colors.
December 2, 2015 at 7:59 am #24737Thanks for the Effort Robin. Now I see the problem when I check some settings about the eps file format. I used the assigned profile (sRGB) like what you said before and re-save the file. And when I re-open it, there’s no color profile embeded. In the image below you can see the difference of options available in saving EPS and AI format. It shows that we can only save assigned profile in AI format.
I add some more vectors in symzio. I also included 5 of my latest uploads which have a larger file dimension compare to my previous files.
November 30, 2015 at 9:40 pm #24704Same thing until now. Sometimes download link shows sometimes not. When I test download my files, the download link only shows after checkout. That’s why I make sure customers receive the email to download the file. Maybe we can ask symbiostock team regarding this issue.
November 29, 2015 at 5:48 pm #24662I think they only disagree about the One Time Use. If you see most of us offers Royalty-Free in our website.
