    Hi!

http://stock.photocreo.com is getting slower and slower! Especially if you try to click All Images. The site loads for ages!
I’m with Inmotionhosting, Power Plan with unlimited transfer. They did for me some kind of a performance report and they say this isn’t their servers’ fault, but rather the performance problems on my website. This is what the report says:

Could you help me and tell me what should I do ?

    Thanks!
    Michal

    Hi Michal,

I have/had the same problem with mine, it still is kinda slow but it got really faster once I turned Live Traffic OFF at the WPFence plugin preferences.

Take a look at that and let me know if it gets faster.

    Cheers

And I took a look at your site, it looks nice but as you said it’s extremely slow… much slower than mine was before I made the change on WPFence… o I’m not sure if that’s the only problem, but you should try anyway

    Thanks Michal,

It’s not that fast yet, but it’s much better than before… I’m still working on it actually.

My host is OVH, it’s a french host, but I heard many american users are hosted by bluehost

I turned the Live Traffic OFF and it did not help :(.
The problem occurs mainly when loading images pages…. I mean when I click All Images or one of the category.

I got an answer from Inmotionhosting.
The speed drop is caused by an issue with one of your plugins. We’ve
disabled the plugins for that wordpress install in the stock folder by
renaming the plugins folder to plugins.old. You’ll need to look
through your plugins and see which one was causing an issue. However
at this time with the plugins off you’ll see that the all images
    sections moves rather quick.

Now, what plugin causing the extreme slow down might it be ?

Without knowing which plug-ins you are using that is an impossible question to answer 🙂

Try turning them on one at a time and then trying out your site (you might need to log out and delete your cookies to get the best result) to see which one(s) is/are causing your speed reductions

Christine is right… if we don’t know which plugins you’re using we can’t help much…

You will need that plug in if you use most recent/featured widgits I think

    It’s definitely much faster!!!

But your similar images are gone as Christine said…

There’s maybe another plugin to replace it?

Will talk about that with a person who helps me with my symbio site..
By the way, vectorjourney, are you using the main theme for your site? Did it require a lot of customization.
I will finally be getting rid of the CleanTheme which I consider a total fiasco and loss of money (never being upgraded).

I’m using the SYmbiostock child theme and yes I’ve worked a lot on customizing it my way.

I’ve heard about the clean theme but I’ve never understood what that was, just read some posts where people mention it… is it paid? what’s the difference between it and regular symbiostock?

I’ll wait a little and I’ll probably get the premium plugin from leo, he did a great job on creating symbiostock

Clean Theme was a paid for child theme and SyXtra (a free but donations welcome, plug-in) were both created in the early days of Symbiostock but I think as the main theme went through so many changes the developers of the child theme and plug in were unable to keep up without starting almost from scratch. There were a few upgrades but maybe too many demands on them and neither, sadly are now active members.

I believe Leo hacked the Clean theme for those who had already purchased it and some of us are still using parts of SyXtra but neither play nicely with the current version of Symbiostock
