Good work Robin and the developing team to add link exchange widget!
I tested and created a new link exchange page in addition to my existing friends page.
It works great! Like the idea of short code which can be embeded in any post/pages. Hopefully more people would join the network and benefit from it. Let’s see how much it impacts google rank in the following months.
Some minor suggestions:
1. I like the thumbnail display for each site. However, if the member does not have a cover image in Symzio, the thumbnail location is empty. Can it be replaced by a Symzio logo? Just try to keep the format good.
2. Not sure if we can have the original aspect ratio of the cover image instead of square in thumbnail.November 4, 2016 at 6:46 am #28762
I’ve added the widget too and It worked well until I update my wordpress theme.
Then I’m no longer in the symzio widget artist list and my illustrations are no longer on symzio platform ?!
I think my site was off line during a minute or two and so my site was automatically excluded.
I suppose that I’ve to wait for my images to be reindexed by symzio…
Robin am I right ?November 4, 2016 at 11:47 am #28766
Added into my sidebar area and it looks good. Good work Robin.
Chrisroll, as of now your website is offline maybe that’s the reason you’re not included in the list.November 4, 2016 at 1:14 pm #28767
Hi Chris – your site is accessible via non-SSL but SSL is not working. Make sure you’ve got your hosting setup right in that regard. When a site on Symzio goes offline it does not need all its images to be reindexed unless it’s been down for a very long time.
But this is a good example of the efficiency of the widget – no dead links because Symzio will take care of checking for you.November 4, 2016 at 1:20 pm #28768
This widget is very cool. It has been developed with a lot of planning to create a self-sustained environment. I’m really glad to see so many users already implementing it.
Remember that you can control where it shows up, use custom CSS to make it look different, and the more you show it on your site to your visitors, the higher you will show up on other people’s lists.
You lose absolutely nothing by putting it in your global sidebar, and gain everything by doing so.November 4, 2016 at 5:51 pm #28774
My link is now visible in partner list but :
On Symzio, my profile indicate 167 images indexed and when I click on “See more by 3d Fonts” link I got this message : “Sorry, no results were found” and no images are shown …
I’ve no SSL certificate on my website and never had one . So it is normal that SSL is not working.
Do I have to setup an SSL certificate to be on Symzio ?November 4, 2016 at 7:51 pm #28775November 4, 2016 at 8:36 pm #28776
Thanks Robin for pointing that!
I changed my forum link to http and will wait for my images to reappear on Symzio…November 5, 2016 at 2:23 am #28777

My images are back again on Symzio and Link Exchange Widget includes now my website !November 6, 2016 at 8:46 am #28782
I am missing something – where is the <span style=”background-color: #fbfbfb; color: #272727; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;”> </span><span style=”background-color: #fbfbfb; color: #272727; font-family: ‘Open Sans’, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;”>cover image in Symzio? I see my site posted, but no description description, no picture, and no social buttons. Where are you putting this? Or does it just take to migrate?</span>
