I have no idea what Leo is doing at the moment with Symbiostock but at one time there was talk of having “Hubs” of sites but no one could really agree on how it would work. I might have a suggestion if it is still practical with the new system.

A few months ago I started selling my nail art and offering photos/digital paintings on Etsy, a craft and vintage store (Hope Leo does not mind but if anyone is interested here is a link which gets you and me 40 free listings each – http://etsy.me/1LW5XZe ).

Think of Etsy as being a shopping centre full of small shops run by individuals, each of who have to adhere to certain rules, pay 0.20 cents for every item they list an item, plus about 3% of the final sale price. The account area shows how much you owe at the end of the month and you pay this from your PP account within 15 days or get your store deactivated. Every time an item is sold, if you have more than one available, then that gets listed and you get charged another 20 cents. The money goes into the store holders bank (I think Etsy hold for a few days) or PP account (immediately) when items are sold. I think they have been going about 10 years and are shortly doing an IPO. Etsy do some advertising but each store-holder is responsible for their own listings and doing the SEO so they are found.

If someone has the ability to set this up then it might be a pattern on which hub’s could be created ?

Is anyone else still interested in hub sites? I’d love to know.
