Receiving comments on images

I got my first one the other day. I don’t believe it’s spam since there’s no link listed. Also it’s hard to tell since I do believe that the native language of the commenter is French and hard to understand their meaning in English.

Do you let comments that aren’t spam just stay in the moderation area or post them to the page? I swear I have comments on images disabled (and they are) so that begs the question how the heck is that even possible???

Looked at my email again and it says it’s a trackback so now I have no idea what to do with it.

trackbacks are a different type of comment. It has a link imbedded in it to another site.

Trackbacks can help with your SEO I think.

If the comment doesn’t help your image or you don’t know the commenter delete it.

Yeah the comment itself and the site from where the poster was doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t fit with what I’m doing. Doing a translation from French to English doesn’t make much sense either. I’ll leave it sitting in the moderation area for now.
