    Hi!

I’ve just got the message from Paypal (from valid address, not spam) telling me to check the server that handles the Paypal IPNs. They say there are some problems with IPN notifications sent to this address:

    http://stock.photocreo.com/wp-content/themes/symbiostock/ipn/paypal_ipn.php

I have absolutely NO idea what the problem is about and they warn me that if the problem is not solved, the IPN notifications will be disabled for my account.

    What can I do ?!

    Thanks!

Log in to your Paypal, go to your profile, find the IPN setting and delete whatever is in there.

This is very old location of paypal_ipn.php. Did you put this address into your Paypal account somewhere?
If so, remove it (field for IPN address in Paypal settings should be empty).
In current Symbio version, proper IPN file is located here: domain.com/symbiostock_ipn/paypal_ipn.php and this address is sent to Paypal during transaction time.

Is this true??? Redneck and ajt both say so, so it must be true!

I currently have http://bestnaturestock.com/symbiostock_ipn/ in that field. I thought it was working right through my testing period, but now I’m not sure if I should leave it or delete it.

    Please advise!

If your purchasing process works, don’t change anything.

Well, I haven’t had a “real” sale yet, but two test purchases kindly provided by fellow Symbiostockers both worked with that setup.

Yep, I think I’ll leave it as is for now.

IPN address in Paypal profile is not needed, but if it is entered, it has to be http://domain.com/symbiostock_ipn/.
Your IPN is ok, so you can leave it there.

I never used IPN, and PayPal / Download works from day 1

Thanks for that, ajt. If it ain’t broke, I won’t try to fix it. 🙂

    Ok thanks!
I couldn’t leave the field empty cause Paypal didn’t allow to save it blank, so I entered http://stock.photocreo.com/symbiostock_ipn/.
Do I have to do any changes on my symbio site ?
I’m on the older version of symbio thanks to the unfortunate CleanTheme.

If you switch off IPN it should be ok to leave blank.
