October 22, 2013 at 12:43 am #5614October 22, 2013 at 1:30 am #5615I just uploaded an image and both the minipic and the preview were fine.
You mentioned at the outset that your php version had changed? Your host may have moved back your memory settings. If memory settings are too low, the process will crash during the watermarking, or even at the minipic (the watermarking process uses slightly more memory)
The OTHER issue may be that you’ve unknowingly started uploading sizes that are outside of the range your server can process. For instance this image here starts entering into the “large” region

5200 × 3444pxTest it out this way:
Make a square image, and start it at 4000px. Upsize it several times and save, so that you have a few images:
test1.jpg 4000px
test2.jpg 4500px
test3.jpg 5000px
…And so forth. Upload them all and run them ONE at a time. When the process finally crashes you’ve found your maximum image size your server can handle.
Also you can change this by way of your php.ini file, if you haven’t learned of that yet.
Forgive me if I’ve mentioned things you may know — I’m not familiar with who’s on what level in Symbiostock.
October 22, 2013 at 1:33 am #5616I had it working already, I guess you missed that or I did not make myself clear. I had went up to PHP 5.4 and it stopped working. When I rolled back to PHP 5.3 single it started working again. I did not think it is a Symbiostock error now, but a error of the image processor
October 22, 2013 at 1:43 am #5617I miss a lot when I skim through these. It might be that there is an php4 error in the image processor. But I’d have to look into it. Until it effects more than one person its quite hard to put a finger on.
October 22, 2013 at 3:46 am #5618I tested upto a 6000 long side and it worked perfectly. Thank you for your help
