My site http://www.jeneimages.com is heavily weighted toward travel/landscape photography, with a smattering of everything else.
At the moment I have ~150 images, but by end of the year, my port will have ~800 images.

If you think my site would complement your network, please add me.
I also have a few slots open to complete my networking circle.

    thanks
    Nick

    Grazie Corina

I tried to find your symbio card on your site to add it to my network, but couldn’t find it.
Could you send me the link where it is or email it to me njene@jeneimages.com if you want me to add you as well.

    thanks again!

    thanks for that cascoly

I think its nice to get a variety in the network – some who specialize in the same, some who are different

buyers have a variety of needs – depending on their clients/projects – so if you have a variety in your network, sometimes it will work out good for you and sometimes it will be to the advantage of another person in the network, anyway thats the way I am thinking.

You need to setup the network to be truly symbiotic

I am curious – why are landscape pictures and images that are taken when on holiday so often called travel. Surely travel is when you are actually moving from one place to another (and transport is what you are moved by)

    interesting

but when I think for example ‘travel office’ or ‘travel brochures’ I see images of people actually on vacation wherever that may be. So if someone is working on a travel brochure for a client, I think naturally, one of the catagories or keywords they may use would be ‘travel’

    anywho, thats just my viewpoint

right, the travel industry sells vacations, not transportation, though obviously they do that too

I try to use travel for landmarks and actual tourist activities – eg, people in restaurants, bargaining in markets, etc

I think it depends on where you go on holiday. Some places are popular tourist destinations (even if they’re home for some people and even though some of the photos are landscapes) but I’d draw a distinction between the fact that you traveled to get there (which means nothing in terms of the image) and whether lots of people travel to see that place 🙂

iStock had rules (at least before they threw them all out and apparently accept anything) that said you had to have something about the business of traveling (suitcases, passports, people in vacation clothing, or packing or …) in the image before you could call it a travel image.

So scenes of lovely places that no one but a local would recognize I’d consider a landscape, even if I’d traveled to get there. I also think it’s very important to have location information in the keywords for anything travel related.

    I think the same way

If I shot a lovely landscape scene at a local park/area that is not a well know tourist destination, I would not label it as travel
If I shoot a landscape at a park like Banff which is a international tourist destination, then I would definitely put it under ‘travel’ as well as ‘landscape’

anyhow – back to my promoting my site for networking – PICK ME ! PICK ME !

Thank you all for your thoughts on this, it is something that has been buzzing around in my head for ages. I think I have added “tourist area” to some of my landscapes but travel when they are out of a plane window for instance and wondered about the differences.

Great question! Maybe that’s why only one person added me until now? How can I add my Symbio Card on my site in the way that others can find it? Who can help me with this? Njene I have added you simply digiting the link to your site in my network. Clicked on + to add and than I paste your link in the box. Anyway I want to publish this Symbiocard on the site but don’t know how.HELP! 🙂

Ahhggggggg – I have just been assaulted by my first Christmas tune of the year (and could not find a way to turn it off) 🙂

Corina – if you add the full URL link in the box you can get around the need for the symbiocard, which should be in your Author area but I did not stay around long enough to find it on your food site 🙂

Corina go to your panel on the left under “Symbiostock” (with the bee ) then under the “Networks” tab scroll down to “Your site info” > Author settings> scroll down to Symbiostock Profile and Extended Network info and fill in all the fields

Im going to see if I can add your url to my network

OK I added you to my network via your url – I learned something new, I only did it by symbiostock card up until now
