Is there a way to offer a discount?

I was thinking about printing up some business card handouts and sticking them on some local bulletin boards and places where geeks/designers tend to hangout, with a special one-time offer of 50% off the purchase of a Medium, Large or Vector image. I was thinking it would be a way to drive some local traffic and the “buy local” movement and at least get some folks registered on my site as legit buyers… but I didn’t see a way to set a coupon code or discount other than on an image/collection basis.

Obviously, I don’t want to offer long-term, forever discounts but a one-time deal seems like a decent hook to get someone to at least try the ‘product’.

Has anyone already created this particular wheel?

I’m running 2.8.2 and Pro 1.2.3.

I would be inclined to add an individual code onto each card and ask them to add it in the comment field of paypal when paying and you will then refund the 50%. This also gives you some personal interaction with them.

That would be a work around but it does require a certain amount of faith on their part…that I’m honest enough to refund the amount…and the issue if they purchase the wrong size or whatever. I’d just do it on their first purchase but I think 50% on a bloggee would be silly.
