SOLVED: Some plugins can cause this problem, e.g. Wordfence, or Under Construction plugins.
I’m getting this error when I use “Search” in Batch Editor. Is it a bug, or is it a problem at my end?

Are you using the Metamorphosis version of Symbiostock? Thats an odd one.

I don’t know what Metamorphosis version is, so probably not using it. I’m on SYS version 2.6.5. , WP 3.6., PHP 5.3.27

If you are using Wordfence try deactivating it and trying again, I think I pinned it down to that

where I struck though the type. If I remember correctly I changed Wordfence to lower the number of hits that could be made within a specific time period and it blocked the searches as well

I don’t use Wordfence, but it is some plug-in. I deactivated all but SYS plug-ins and the “search” works ok. Going to try activating one-by-one to see which one is causing it.
Found it!
it is “Under Construction” plug-in.
When my “website under construction” illustration is activated, Batch Editor search doesn’t work.
Not a problem, as soon as my site is ready to welcome visitors, the plug-in will be turned off anyway 🙂
