What are you listening to while you work?

Instead of music, it sets a calm atmosphere. Sometimes its stuff that resembles music, sometimes its just interesting ambient sounds… strange. I find its nice, because music can be overstimulating and distracting…whereas this seems to help me work much better.
In my earlier years I wouldn’t have listened to anything like this! I guess its a sign of age!
February 1, 2014 at 12:21 am #9105We have a Rhapsody subscription (so my kids can listen to music legally) so I put a bunch of things into a playlist and then shuffle.
Typically upbeat while I’m working and the house is empty – today it was Kings of Leon, Fall Out Boys, The Strokes, The Gaslight Anthem, Bruno Mars, Band of Horses and Blind Pilot

February 1, 2014 at 12:38 am #9107Silence. If I play music I must get up and dance. I’ve used coffivity http://coffitivity.com while in the office when a guy down the hall played music all day, which made me want to dance.
February 1, 2014 at 4:50 am #9108Whole range of stuff ( I LOVE music!) but a lot of the time Sigur Ros ends up being on high repeat for me.
View my portfolio at THPStock Direct via Microstock Man. I also do Web Design & Graphic Design.
February 8, 2014 at 2:24 pm #9109That depends on what I am doing and the mood too. Right now the only sounds are the birds a few meters away outside the sliding door.
* Classical music if I am editing (books) or sometimes writing too.
* Upbeat “happy” music if I’m working with Illustrations, artwork or photography.
* Jazz or Easy Listening records if I’m just writing or general PC work.
* Rock, dance or even Disco when I’m in a hyper mood LOL!Jo
February 22, 2014 at 8:13 pm #9110Very different music, Classic, Jazz, Independent, even Punk and French Hip Hop
Right now it’s The Who
Won’t Get Fooled Again
Couldn’t that be part of the “Soundtrack” for Symbiostock
March 7, 2014 at 9:36 pm #9111Okay, I feel like I HAVE to share this … I really love it
If you’d like to listen to great music and laugh a lot here it is: Chilly Gonzales together with the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, 2011:
