What version do you call “latest and greatest”? 🙂
I checked Bluehost and I’m running 5.2.17. They say they have 5.3 and 5.4 available

If I’m happy with how things are running, is there any reason I would want to upgrade?
I’m clueless, not argumentative, but in general will leave things that are working alone until there’s some requirement to upgrade or some great new feature that mandates it
What you’re proposing would fit just fine within the current network of independent sites – one of the Symbiostock sites would have multiple submitters. But as noted above, there’s a lot of additional work.
It would actually look very much like WarmPicture (recently deceased) which Dan Padavona started and ran for a couple of years. He now has a symbiostock site 🙂
He took a percentage of the total for the costs of maintaining the site. There were no inspections, but members had to have a portfolio at the micros and have some experience and sales – so they’d know the ropes as far as copyright and standards without adult supervision.
There is no way I could envision doing all that work for other people to sell their files – I’m willing to take the risk for my own images. Perhaps someone will come along who wants to take this on, but it’s a big task
I’m sure having all the social networking sites is a good idea, but so far, I have yet to see much point in Google+ because so few people are there.
FB is clearly out to grab whatever it can to make bucks selling ads, but as long as there are lots of people there, we need to work with them as best we can, IMO.

I would love to see an option to stay logged in – with MSG I leave the window up most of the day and periodically check on that tab in the browser to see if anything significant (to me) came up. With this forum I have to keep logging in each time.
I can see two of my blog posts if searching by my name, but when I search by tags, I can’t be bothered to wade through the masses of other results (I haven’t blogged in several months). I need to get back to adding posts, but I have uploading to do 🙂
