As we say here in the Pennsylvania Dutch Country, “Wahoo!” Congrats to Steve – the first of many, MANY more!January 12, 2016 at 2:57 am #25429
I’d rather get 70% of something than 100% of nothing. In fact, I’ll take all the 70% sales I can get.
There is no way I’d get worked up over 20 cents on a $1.99 sale, nor 10% on a $50 sale. I’ll gladly take $35 on every $50 paid by a customer for one of my images.
Regular bank merchant accounts charge different amounts based on the cards customers present at the time of purchase. Business cards are assessed more, as are International cards. I once saw a merchant screaming (yes, SCREAMING) that he had to pay an extra 61 cents on a transaction because a customer bought supplies with the “wrong” kind of card. I don’t think any of us in business should get so upset over a few cents here or there. As we all know, there are expenses in everything we do. The way to cover our expenses is to increase volume, making perhaps a little less per sale, but have more sales.
So Symzio, take the 10% you need so to you can keep sending me zillions of 70% sales.

To password protect a “folder” in WordPress, I used the Pages password. (It’s under visibility in the Publish section on each page). I placed a gallery on a page, password protected the page, then gave the page and password to the client. To keep this page secret or hidden, I used this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/pc-hide-pages/ (It is an older plugin but it still works.)
The client gallery was hidden pretty well. I used this as a “proofing” system. When the client selected the images, I ordered the prints. (One tip, if you choose to do this: make sure your gallery displays your image file name. Some galleries don’t do this.) This is not a fully automated system as I still had the order fulfillment to do. But it worked for me using just WordPress.

Yes. Most definitely.January 7, 2016 at 4:52 am #25345
This has resolved itself. I was using Chrome. I cleaned up my PC with CCleaner and the new (or actually my logo) loaded as expected. So for future users, if you change the watermark, be sure to refresh/clear your browser.
It is taking a while for my images to show the new watermark, but it is showing on multiple images.
Thanks again for your fast response and help! Much appreciated.

The plot thickens. I had tried the Save button but could not get my logo file to upload – I had tried to do this both with ansd without checking the checkbox. I had done this before posting my first message.
Your instructions to do this as a manual upload worked. I got my logo on the page. I saved again.
However, it is still not working. I just uploaded an image I created an hour ago (new image). Uploaded it, processed it, all worked okay, however it did not process with my logo – it has the original Symbiostock watermark, even though my watermark image is showing on the setup page.

I had no trouble changing the watermark following your instructions to replace the watermark.png file. Just thinking here -> could it be that the file must be named watermark, png before it would upload/save on the Settings page? Mentioning this so future readers here may be able to make this change if they care to do so.

There is no Submit button visible. I have Choose File which works. The file name is displayed OK. The Symbiostock logo does not change. I also have a Save Changes button on the bottom of the page, and although it looks like it is saving, it is not – no update of the logo.

Thank you for your prompt reply to my question.
I tried to replace the Symbiostock watermark with my logo file. While I can select it (it is a PNG 19.2K) and it shows that I have properly chosen this file, it will not save or upload. It does not replace the Symbiostock logo. (I can upload my PNG to my Media library.) Any idea of what I might be incorrectly doing?

Just confirming the CSS code works – but you have to delete the double quotes and retype them (you need standard not slanted quote marks).
Thought I’d confirm and add this for future readers of this forum.
