I ran into a similar issue.. Luckily it was during my test purchases..
here is what happened.. I ordered a medium size PNG image, and proceeded to checkout, made the payment and returned to the site..
On my return as usual, the file was still in the cart instead of the download area.. I clicked on that small “x” to remove the image from the cart before refreshing the page.. that must have stopped something from triggering the transaction.. the item never went down into the download area..
transaction worked every single time that I wasn’t clicking the small “x” to remove the item from the cart after returning to the site.. That action somehow stops the item from going to the download area..
Leo, we must definitely change the paypal return page to something else to prevent these issues.. There should be a “plain” thank you page (before proceeding to the customer area) where it says “Thanks for your purchase, click here (link to customer download area) to download your file(s)
As it stands, it really doesn’t look good and professional when the item still hangs in the cart.. There should be an extra landing page between paypal and customer area to allow the script (and/or paypal) some time to finish the transaction..

Its here to stay now.
I took your advice from a loonggg time ago: Simply put this stuff on themeforest. So I’m setting up to use themeforest as the main portal for Symbiostock and other themes. That takes care of overhead and allows us to keep running.
Glad to you see you back too!
Fantastic..
how will the updates work? Is it going to be automatic once they purchased it from themeforest?
December 6, 2014 at 1:53 am #11492Great.. I hope it is here to stay 🙂
June 29, 2014 at 3:43 pm #11463I now tested both contact form 7 and fast and secure contact form and despite both saying “Your message was sent successfully”, none actually delivers the emails..
it must be a theme issue since both forms fail..
I used to receive all the emails… lately it was a bit problematic and everything was going to my junkmail folder.. and now, nothing works..
June 29, 2014 at 3:31 pm #11462when I click on the teamclipart link I appear to be logged in as “Leo” 🙂
other than that, looks great..
btw Leo,
my site stopped sending emails.. no emails are being sent now and this also started out of nowhere..
no registration, confirmation or contact form emails are being sent.. nothing.. not even to my junkmail folder..

I’m not sure if I have any control over the junk mail aspect. I know that has been discussed in the past though.
I agree with that..
but for some reason those emails go to junk instead of the inbox.. I have no idea what’s causing it..
who knows, at some point they might start going back to inbox again, just as they started going to the junk for no reason.. 🙂
June 3, 2014 at 9:00 pm #11368it works now..
but new user notification email goes to junk every single time..
I marked it as safe but it doesn’t help.. they still go to junk..
June 3, 2014 at 8:21 am #11366Leo I have seen a new version and updated my site..
was it an update to solve this issue?

This seems related to the general email/signup issue. I’ll check into this again. May need access to your admin at some point.
Leo, you are an admin now..
the buyer received the email with download area link a day later..
but I didn’t get anything.. I wouldn’t know what they bought without the cart manager..
May 27, 2014 at 10:45 am #11152I usually prefer not to fix things unless they are broken 🙂 so I am stuck with v. 3.3.2
but progress and moving forward is also a must..
is there anything important we need to keep in mind when updating from 3.3.2 to 3.3.4?
haven’t read the forums in a while and I don’t want to mess things up just because I didn’t update properly 🙂
May 7, 2014 at 9:16 am #11087– download expiration
– cart manager should stay
– stats page
– it should be possible to disable unwanted features to simplify the customer experience..May 6, 2014 at 3:45 pm #10573I love it all.. especially features like cart manager..
download expiration should be added.. some sort of a stats page is also a good idea..

The only thing I can really think of that could be removed is the up loader feature. Most of us are quite familiar on how to FTP our files to a location. This is not a criticism of the feature but just one that is not really needed in my opinion
removing the uploader?
I couldn’t disagree more 🙂 I don’t use FTP with symbiostock.. the uploader is very convenient..

Things I’d get rid of:
– The RSS feed on Categories
– The author description on the image pages (just the name with the necessary tags for making copyright ownership clear) – name linking to the About page is fine
– Limits on # of network partners (have as many as you want)
– The Symbiostock Community link on image pages
– icons in front of headings (keywords, categories, similar images, logout – everywhere)
– cart manager (perhaps I don’t know how to use it?)(I’ll come back and edit if I think of others)
would definitely keep the red ones.. cart manager is a wonderful feature.. I use it all the time..
the only thing about cart manager is that it should be improved..
February 21, 2014 at 3:15 pm #9179just upgraded..
