Currently, the easiest and simplest way for you to accept payments for your media purchases is through PayPal. Your customers can use credit cards or their PayPal account to pay, and this method is both secure and easy.

PayPal is enabled by default, but in order to receive payments you will have to tell the system what your PayPal receiver email address is.

To do so, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Checkout > PayPal

Make sure PayPal is enabled, and then scroll down to PayPal Email – put your receiver email address in there.

That’s it! Now when a customer buys something, PayPal will tell the Symbiostock/WooCommerce system that it was successfully received and automatically email the customer a secured link to download their media.

Refunds & Discounts

Symbiostock and WooCommerce have a built in coupon system that permits you to create, edit and delete coupons, setting limits on them as per your requirements. Customers can enter these coupons during checkout to receive discounts on their orders.

Refunds will depend on your chosen payment method. For PayPal payments, you can enable the API credentials within your WooCommerce settings so that WooCommerce can initiate refunds on your behalf. If you don’t use the API credentials (which may require a PayPal business account), you will have to manually log in and refund any cancelled orders via PayPal. Enabling the API credentials is very easy, and can be done right in your PayPal account under Selling Tools > API Access > API Credentials/Signature.

Money, Charging Taxes & VAT

Symbiostock and WooCommerce are fully enabled to work with whatever your needs are in regards to currencies and charging taxes.

To start with, navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > General.

Here you can setup your location, currencies, even the way the currencies are displayed.

Next move to the Tax tab – here you can setup the detailed way in which you collect taxes. You can have set rates per country, per state, reduced rates and more.

If you require VAT support, you can find or purchase premium plugins for your standalone install to support those requirements. All PLUS customers get complimentary access to our VAT plugin that is fully compliant with the 2015 regulations, including confirming their location, storing two evidences of it, exempting business customers, and allowing you to download all of these reports in bulk as your needs arise.
